Recruiting
When positions are filled, not only are technical skills considered but fit within the organization is also important. Sought-after characteristics include team spirit, a customer service mindset and a "can do" attitude. Co-workers are heavily involved in screening and interviewing candidates.

Training
While training will vary with the job position, new employees typically participate in a two-week regimen of in-house orientation and field training supplemented by vendor training. Professional development opportunities in such areas as marketing, computer skills or customer service are strongly encouraged. All technicians at Sound Products participate in the NICET certification program. A tuition reimbursement plan is also available for associates who register for formal coursework.

Health Insurance
Sound Products provides insurance that includes health, dental and disability coverage for the entire family. Policy costs are split between the company and employee.

Vacation
Employees receive two weeks of annual vacation initially and qualify for a third week after five years of service. Five sick days are also available annually, including time off to care for sick children.

Profit Sharing
Sound Products has a 401(k) plan in place. Employees are eligible for the plan after a year of service with the company.
